movement intensive
Breath is the original threshold — the one thing that is always already happening, and always available to change everything. This 3.5-hour intensive combines conscious connected breathing with somatic movement to access states of release, clarity, and embodied presence that talk cannot reach.
How it works
We open with 45 minutes of guided somatic movement — gentle, exploratory, without choreography — to bring awareness into the body before the breath begins. The breathwork session itself runs approximately 90 minutes: a circular breathing pattern held with live musical accompaniment (handpan and voice). We close with a 45-minute integration period — stillness, journaling, and quiet conversation.
Breathwork can produce intense physical and emotional experiences, including spontaneous movement, temperature changes, tingling, and emotional release. This is normal and held with full support.
Suitability & contraindications
This intensive is led by Miss Chen, an artist with over a year of practice at Liminal Space NYC. Her approach to movement and breathwork is shaped by her background in creative process — attentive to what the body holds, and what it needs permission to release.

What to bring
Loose, comfortable clothing you can lie down in. Do not eat a heavy meal within 3 hours before the session. Mats, blankets, and pillows are provided. A journal if you like to write after.
